What You Need to Know

There are two different admissions for the Xplor theme park. There is the regular admission of Xplor which is like every themepark hours from 9:00 pm to 5:00 pm and there is Xplor Fuego which is like a themepark after-hours from Monday to Saturday 5:30 pm to 11:00 pm.

Xplor Fuego is cheaper and more fun (if you plan it the right way)!

There are seven activities, four that you must do and three that are optional. The four must-do activities are the Ziplines, the 5-in-1 waterslide, the Underground Expedition, and the Amphibious Vehicles. The three optional activities are the Hammock Splash, the River Swim, and the Paddleboats.

Must-Do Activities

The Ziplines are a set of 8 zipline towers and two options. There is a 45-minute ride and a 15-minute ride. We did the 45-minute one, and it was a great decision. You would take a zipline to the next tower, by yourself or with a partner, and the people there would unclip your harness once you reach. Then, you would walk up the steps to the next one and repeat the process.

The 5-in-1 waterslide, called ToboganXote, is a giant waterslide where you can go in a pair or a group of 4 people. It was a two-minute ride, and it has a lot of thrills. We love waterslides, so we did it twice. It is 135 feet tall, and there are, as you guessed, 5 unique parts to it. It is a lot of fun to do at night with the different colored lights and planets inside. Once done with the waterslide, you will exit from a wave pool where you can enjoy and relax.

The Underground Expedition is an underground cenote with waters that range from your knees to as high as 4 feet. All you do in it is walk through it and enjoy. Inside, there are fish, bat nests, and there is a small, makeshift-but-fun water slide. It is a calm activity in a park of relentless action.

The final activity that you must do is the Amphibious Vehicle. Contrary to the name, you do not get soaked. The only water there is the sprinklers every so often, leaving a drizzle on you. It is more like a four-wheeler or an ATV. You go through the sand and a couple of underground caves, it is fun, but sit in the front of the vehicle.

Optional Activities

The Hammock splash is like a zipline, but you sit on a hammock, and you land in a river, splashing and soaking yourself. You do this twice, one to the other side, and one to come back.

The River swim is a cenote with red colored lights that make the water look red. All you do is swim through it. There are two options, a 30-minute one and a 10-minute one.

The Paddleboats are the same thing as the River Swim, except you sit on a raft and paddle. You can do this as one person or as two people.
